Routes From Bodmin Parkway Train Station
Trains run to Plymouth, Penzance, London Paddington, Cardiff Central and also the North and Scotland. With the new trains on this route there will be appproximately 1 train every 30 minutes going in both directions all year round. A limited service with a delightful live steam train runs to Bodmin General on the Wenford railway heritage line.The railway here runs from north-east Plymouth to south west-Penzance.
The trains from here run both from north / east towards Plymouth and south / west towards Penzance. The station entrance on the south / east side of the track, the approach road from the Bodmin travels under the line to the north of the station.Plymouth Citybus operates the service from here to Bodmin town itself and Padstow and also towards Liskeard in the other direction from the Car Park. You can walk along the river bank on a footpath leading from the car park to Lanhydrock House
The booking office is right next to the entrance on the west platform, a matching building over the footbridge serves as a waiting room. The signal box, has been converted for use as a cafe.
There is no booking office for the Bodmin and Wenford trains so passengers buy their tickets from the guard. These trains use the opposite face of the platform used by mainline trains towards Plymouth. The Bodmin line curves sharply away to the north at the west end of the platform, and between this line and the main line is the exchange siding used for occasional movements between the two railways, and a large modern carriage shed alongside that is used to store rolling stock for the Bodmin and Wenford Railway.
